An amazing painting done by my boss as a going away gift!

As many of you may have noticed, I’ve taken a rather permanent break from blogging. These past few months have been filled with so many changes, both personally and professionally, that I have not been able to give blogging my full attention.

I am excited to share that I will be taking on a new role at Gap Inc. After a year of working at Banana Republic I have been accepted into a retail management program.  I will be spending the next 9 months working for Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic learning different job functions. While this is a very exciting time, I am also anxious for the unknown. I am going to embrace this time and hopefully have some fun stories to share with all of you.

Personally, I’ve been focusing on my sister’s wedding and getting excited for a new addition to our family! I plan to share some fun wedding DIY’s with everyone soon! As I start this next chapter in my life I plan to get back to blogging to share my journey with you all and hopefully some cute outfits as well! Let the journey, and blogging. begin!

Happy Weekend All! I’ll be locked inside all weekend working on a project but I wanted to share some fun weekend dressing inspiration. I’ll be in cozy sweat pants all weekend, so please dress up, put on heels and a little sparkle for me!

October is my favorite month in SF..pumpkin lattes, fleet week, sunny skies, and warm nights!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of being part of one of the most beautiful, fun, loving weddings. My girl Kelly McNevin Walker is married! We spend the weekend in beautiful wine country with great friends, amazing weather, delicious food and so many fun times and laughs. There were SO many special moments from this weekend but my favorite part was seeing the genuine love between the bride and groom and the overwhelming support from their friends and families.

Nothing says summer like a nice white on white outfit! I scored this pants on major sale at Anthro a few weeks back and knew I had to get a few good wears in before summer ends. Speaking of summer ending, I am looking so froward to a Tahoe getaway I have planned for next weekend. Sun bathing, bbq-ing and reading in the sun are a few of my favorite summer activities. Happy Tuesday all! This week is beautiful in SF and I am looking forward to lunches outside and warm night runs and of course the chance to wear my summer skirts! This simple yet bright outfit was an easy choice for some meetings I had yesterday. I am still loving the jean shirt trend, but I am ready to see it styled in different ways. I am a fan of jean on jean as well as jean on white. Try tying your shirt in a little knot for a twist on this simple trend!

As I was leaving the office today I had a good laugh..I looked down to see leopard shoes, a leopard bag ( filled with a leopard phone case and make up bag), leopard scarf and a leopard lunch box! While I did not capture this look for the blog, believe me it was a sight to see. Hey, nothing like ending the day with a good laugh and a great pair of leopard heels!

A few weeks ago I bought this cute purple pencil skirt from JCrew (on major sale). It has

quickly become a go to piece in my wardrobe. Not only is the color perfect, but it is the perfect silhouette for multiple looks. I am really trying to cut back on shopping so I am  trying to wear one thing multiple ways. Which look is your fav?

Preppy Chic: nothing says pretty like a pair of classes and bow flats. Pair your favorite sweater with a pencil skirt and grab your tech case to double as a purse.

Weekend Run Around: pencil skirts can also be casual. Throw on an over sided tee, fun jewerly, and some killer wedges and you are set to run around town

Business Casual: the pencil skirt was made for work, but I prefer to give it an edge. Peplum tops are the perfect shape to pair on top of the skirt. Keep it professional with closed toed shoes and an over sized bag.
